Fading Chat | Subscription

What follows describes how Fading Chat works.

What a subscription gives you is access to a feature: a set of message channels where messages disappear automatically,
and it does not guarantee any relationship outcome.

How it works

All messages — in channels and one-to-one alike — disappear automatically within 60 days. To remove something sooner, you can delete it yourself at any time, with one tap.

There are four group channels (newcomers, everyday talk, check-in, and help with the interface), and you can also open a one-to-one or a group thread.

One-to-one and group threads require both sides to have subscribed and switched it on; if the other person has not, an ordinary private message still works.

There is no length limit, and nothing waits for review. That is part of what it is, and it also means users share responsibility for maintaining boundaries here.

If a discussion is worth keeping, the person who wrote it can quote it themselves and turn it into a public post.

Public posting, comments, and private messages remain available free of charge, as before.

After logging in to the community, tap the heart at the top right to start subscribing.

How to subscribe

Choose six months or a year on the community's subscription page. It comes to under NT$100 a month.

Free trial

New subscribers get 20 days free. Cancel within the trial and you are not charged.

When you are charged

After the trial, the full period is charged at once, according to the plan you chose. Stripe sends a reminder seven days beforehand; whether it arrives depends on the payment provider, and not receiving it does not affect the charge.

How to cancel

Go to the Stripe customer portal, enter the email you subscribed with, and open the link Stripe sends you; you can cancel there and the subscription will not renew for the next term. The same place lets you change plan or payment details.

Refunds

No refund is given for the current subscription period once activated.

If there are special circumstances, write to us and we will look at it case by case.

Fading Chat offers a space that can be extended, and can also be ended at any time,
and subscribing is a concrete form of support.
